Podere Montefioralle is group of four country houses all restored in Tuscany style and situated in the heart of Chianti, near Greve. From the Podera, there is a splendid view over the undulating hills.
The houses are 450m above sea level which guarantees a very pleasant climate and even in the summer you can enjoy endurable temperatures. You can also cool down in the shared swimming pool of 12 by 6 meters. Near the swimming pool is a playing ground and you will have is a lovely view over the Tuscan hills.
There are bicycles available for the guests and – on request – trekking with horses can be arranged. |

Greve in Chianti is a small town situated in the valley of the Greve stream, half-way along the scenic Chiantigiana highway (SS 222) that runs from Florence to Sienna. Greve has an attractive, arcaded, triangular piazza with several ceramics and wine shops, as well as restaurants, and there is a supermarket five minutes’ walk from the main piazza.
A small museum of religious art is housed in the old monastery of San Francesco and the fortified village of Montefioralle is about one kilometre away up a steep hill.
There are several historical castles and castellated villas in the area and many wineries where wine and olive oil may be tasted and bought. |
